Toronto Karate Kids League – Game on Toronto! Host City Showcase Program
We are Welcome House – a non-profit organization,
which has been providing & promoting physical activity in North York by offering affordable
access to Karate training for children and youth since 2010.
Karate is a fun way for both boys and girls to achieve fitness and focus while learning
self-discipline and socialization skills. Currently there are many Karate competitors
spread throughout Toronto but no single, one tournament exists to unite them all.
Introducing the Toronto Karate Kids League. With your support, this project will provide
children and youth up to 15 years of age, access to 4 tournaments per year for beginner
and intermediate levels. Each tournament will have 40 categories with medals awarded in
each category. And at the end of each year, the club with the most medals will receive
the League’s Friendship Cup. These kids are learning the spirit of good
competition and sportsmanship. They will improve their mind and their physical wellbeing. The Toronto Karate Kids League will give non-elite athletes the chance to learn the benefits
of healthy competition, sportsmanship and discipline while uniting and expanding this
popular and health-promoting activity. It’s great for our school, it’s great for our kids. It’s something that I would support. And with your support, we can bring it to life! Vote for us!
