EverythingTop10 is proud to present, part
2 of “The Top 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Floyd Mayweather Jr!” #10. Mayweather was fitted with boxing gloves while
he was still a toddler, and he started boxing at the age of seven. When he was growing up, he owned just three
pairs of trousers, three shirts, and one pair of shoes. #9. He started his own record label named Philthy
Rich Records. In 2008, he recorded a rap song titled “Yep”
that he used for his entrance on WrestleMania XXIV in his match against Big Show. The WWE reportedly paid him $20 million for
the fight. #8. Mayweather appeared on the fifth season of
“Dancing with the Stars”; his partner was Ukrainian-American professional ballroom
dancer Karina Smirnoff. On October 16, 2007, Smirnoff and Mayweather
were the fourth couple to be eliminated from the competition, finishing in ninth place. #7. A guilty pleasure of his is playing “Mega
Touch” and holding the highest scores in every game on there–his favorites are Spades,
Dominos, and word scrambles. Although the 2004 movie “Troy” with Brad
Pitt is one he likes to watch over and over again, his favorite movie is “The Notebook.” He enjoys spending his free time holidaying
in Dubai. He hired a four-man team of bodyguards and
they’re called “The Great Wall.” They’re all over 7 feet tall, and they have
a combined weight of 1,470 pounds. #6. Mayweather’s morning routine includes brushing
his teeth for 10 straight minutes. He averages over 1,000 sit-ups a day during
training camp. Every juice he drinks during training camp
is made from scratch. For his fight with Manny Pacquiao, he chopped
wood as part of his training. The tree trunks that he used were brought
in from Big Bear in California, and they weighed nearly 700 pounds each. #5. He gets a manicure and pedicure at home once
a week during training camp. Justin Bieber has sometimes joined him for
these sessions, and Floyd occasionally trains him. Bieber has carried Floyd’s belts to the
ring. They have vacationed together and their friendship
arose and endures because of Mayweather’s daughter, who is a big fan of Bieber. #4. Mayweather said that he roots for “any team
that’s in Boston.” He wants to own an NBA team. He even believes that he could’ve played
in the NBA. He said, “I’m skillful enough and talented
enough, so if somebody had taught me all the fundamentals of basketball, I guess I could
have played in the NBA.” #3. He likes to eat Twizzlers, Ramen noodle soup,
and fried hot dogs. He doesn’t put ketchup or mustard on his
hot dogs, but he does put barbeque sauce. He likes barbeque sauce so much that he will
put it on pretty much anything he can. He doesn’t use a microwave, and he only
eats food that is cooked and heated up on a stove or in an oven. He doesn’t like five-star restaurants. When he goes out to eat at a restaurant, the
first thing he always does is order a glass of warm water. When it arrives, he puts his cutlery in it
to let it soak for a while. #2. On May 16, 2016, it was reported on
that Mayweather spends $1,000 on a haircut at least two times in a week. TMZ spoke to Jackie Starr, the woman behind
the haircuts, who stated she met Floyd in 2001, but she only started cutting his hair
in 2009. Since then, she is the only barber to cut
his hair whether he is in the U.S. or abroad. She said, “I cut his hair two times a week,
three times is pushing it, but then it also depends on the occasion. If he’s in training I will cut him Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday.” #1. He doesn’t smoke or drink, and he even refrains
from being around marijuana smoke out of fear it would cause a negative drug test. He established the Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation
in 2007. The charity aims to benefit underprivileged
children in the Las Vegas area. Mayweather is the foundation’s director,
hiring board members and facilitating fundraising activities. He has helped families build homes in the
Decatur District of Las Vegas. He has also given food to the homeless people
in the area. He said that he doesn’t do this for the
publicity or to change his dubious image. He maintained, “I don’t care who knows
or doesn’t know. As long as I help the kids and people who
need help, that’s really what matters.” In 2011, he paid for the funeral of former
super lightweight world champion and former opponent Genaro Hernandez, who died of cancer
after a three-year battle. That’s all folks! If you missed it, make sure you check out
