The Aikido White Belt Bible – Trailer

Have you ever been at a crossroads? Needing to make a change in your life. Wanting to become a better version of yourself? Physically? Mentally? Spiritually? You’re not alone. There’s a path for you. A method. A process. A journey. YOUR journey to black belt and beyond. Your journey to your best self. On that journey, you’ll need the right tools
and you’ll need a guide. I’ve taken that journey. I can be that guide. 30 years ago I was at a crossroads, too. I was lacking in confidence and direction. I was distracted and scattered. Then I found Aikido. At first, I was lousy at executing the techniques. I was clueless about dojo etiquette. It took me 10 times longer than the other
students to learn how to do the falls and the rolls. But my dojo mates were there for me. They were patient and helped me a lot. I gradually started getting better. After a couple years, I went to Japan to take
my training to the next level. I was a beginner all over again. I was often the only white belt in the dojo
and almost always the only woman. I was pushed to my limits – sometimes beyond
my limits. I was often thrown to the point of exhaustion
– till my legs were shaking and I simply could no longer get up. I’ve passed out during training. But I never gave up. I didn’t quit. A few of the senior students in Japan took
me under their wing. They pushed me hard, but were there to catch
me if I fell. If I messed up, either with technique or etiquette
and protocol, they let me know. I started to improve and gain confidence. I slowly started to forge a new version of
myself – a stronger, more confident version. And a version more at peace with myself and
others. I can be your guide. I can give you the tools to discover your
OWN path to a more confident, fit, and “centered” version of yourself. Stronger – spiritually, mentally, and physically. Aikido improves lives. Not only yours but the lives of those around
you. It offers you a method to navigate peacefully
through physical conflict and enables you to embody this peace in your day-to-day challenges. In a world full of distractions, discover
a place where there is peace, stillness and strength – no future and no past. Only NOW. Aikido training demands that you focus 100%
on “the now.“ and in that “now” you’ll find incredible freedom. There’s a powerful quote by the founder
of Aikido: “The Art of Peace begins with you. Work on yourself and your appointed task in
the Art of Peace. Everyone has a spirit that can be refined,
a body that can be trained in some manner, a suitable path to follow. You are here for no other purpose than to
realize your inner divinity and manifest your inner enlightenment. Foster peace in your own life and then apply
the Art to all that you encounter.” Now let’s get started. ________________
