  1. Mais depuis la création du karaté d'autre méthode de self défense sont apparues qui nécessitent moins de temps d'apprentissage.
    Si le cours est uniquement focalisé sur l'aspect défensif, il est alors peut-être préférable d'enseigner d'une manière moins traditionnelle et académique

  2. effectivement le karate est de la self defense! cela dit selon moi, il sera necessaire pour le travailler en self defense d'avoir une ouverture totale sur la technique et sur le changements des formes tout en sachant que les bases seront présente. Il sera important de ne pas travailler de manière codifié et egalmeent de travailler sur des ataques de type bagarre de rue, crochet, bousculade agressivité corps a corps et sol. Je pense que l'art du karate devien vraiment interessant une foi que l'on va commencer a sapprocher beaucoupplus de la réalité par rapport a des manière trop académique et fondamentale de pratiquer. car le combat réel au finale na rien de "structuré" ni de codifié!, c'est agressif et extrêmement dur.

  3. Effectivement le Karaté a tout pour être un excellent système de Self-Défense (utilisations des pieds, des poings, coudes, genoux, etc.). Le GROS problème c'est qu'il est trop codifié et le côté traditionnel presque extrême (hikite, position basses, katas, kihon) est selon moi dépassé.

Faire du  karaté c'est le choix d'un apprentissage long et difficile, par rapport aux méthodes de self défense qui vont à l'essentiel, si l'on reste dans un karaté académique on risque d'avoir de gros problèmes en cas de confrontation réelle.Mais un bon entrainement et surtout un bon professeur doivent vous apprendre à adapter le karaté à la défense. Dans le kata il y a tous les 'secrets' du karaté, atémis, projections, etc..il faut apprendre à les trouver, et le bunkai nous permeteffectivement de les mettre en pratique à condition de travailler de manière sincère et réaliste, c'est à dire que la technique doit être simple, rapide et explosive pour être applicable en situation réelle . Ensuite il faut bien se dire qu'en self défense, il n'y a plus de karaté ni de judo …mais une volonté de survie ou tout doit être exploitée pour se protéger. Je pratique le karaté shotokan, mais peu importe le style on est karatéka avant tout, Ce qui implique une recherche de l'efficacité Ce qui fait la différence c'est la manière dont vous allez travailler et adapter votre karaté. Mais croyez moi le karaté n'est pas dépassé, c'est simplement un cheminement long et difficile, mais c'est aussi un travail de santé, que du bonheur
