Kung Fu Panda (2008) – The Origin of Tai Lung Scene (4/10) | Movieclips

I thought you said acupuncture
would make me feel better. Trust me, it will. It’s just not easy finding the right
nerve points under all this… – Fat?
– Fur. I was going to say fur. Sure you were. Who am I to judge a warrior
based on his size? Look at me. I’m over here. Maybe you should look at this again. Oh, OK. Stop it. Stop! I know Master Shifu is trying
to inspire me and all… …but if I didn’t know better,
I’d say he was trying to get rid of me. I know he can seem kind of heartless… …but he wasn’t always like that. According to legend, there was once a time when
Master Shifu actually used to smile. – No!
– Yes. But that was before. Before what? Before Tai Lung. We’re not really supposed
to talk about him. Well, if he’s going to stay here,
he should know. Guys, guys, I know about Tai Lung. He was a student. The first ever to
master the thousand scrolls of kung fu. And then he turned bad,
and now he’s in jail. He wasn’t just a student. Shifu found him as a cub… …and he raised him as his son. And when the boy showed
talent in kung fu… …Shifu trained him. He believed in him. He told him
he was destined for greatness. It was never enough for Tai Lung. He wanted the Dragon Scroll. But Oogway saw darkness
in his heart and refused. Outraged, Tai Lung
laid waste to the valley. He tried to take the scroll by force. And Shifu had to destroy
what he had created. But how could he? Shifu loved Tai Lung
like he had never loved anyone before. Or since. And now he has a chance
to make things right. To train the true Dragon Warrior. And he’s stuck with you. A big fat panda
who treats it like a joke. That is it! Wait! My fault!
I accidentally tweaked his facial nerve. And may have also stopped his heart.

  1. 2:20 I never understood what that was but after watching Kung Fu Panda 3 I think it's safe to assume that what Oogway did was chi

  2. Every time Tigress looks at Po, it seems like she just wants to hit him.

Guess him making that face was the perfect excuse 😂😂😂

  3. This is all technically Oogway’s fault. Tai Lung didn’t have any evil in him from the start, he just turned evil because Oogway said no to him having the dragon scroll, then he turned evil. Not only that, but he said that Tai Lung would return. He returned only because that guy’s feather freed him, so Oogway must have know that Shifu would have sent him to that prison to warn the guards.

  4. I wonder what Tai Lung’s biological parents think of him, if they found out what he had done. Did they gave him away, because they aren’t willing to take care of him, or did they gave him away, because some how they knew that he wouldn’t turn out good. So instead they gave him away to Shifu and thought he will raise him better, but it didn’t turn out very well??

  5. Keep repeating every second

  6. Tai Lung's origin story shares parallels with that of Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights
Ian McShane, Tai Lung's VA, played Heathcliff in the 1963 Wuthering Heights film

  7. I just realised that Shifu never had anyone to love except Tai Lung. Even after the movies he only had friends, not family. And the saddest part is that he had another chance for family with Tigress, but he didn’t accept it because of Tai Lung. And this also left Tigress with no one to love either.

  8. you know what tai lung kinda reminds me of, garo from opm season 2. i like garo a lot too. i was watching a couple scenes of this movie again yesterday cuz i felt like it, i havent in a while, and he just kinda reminds me of him. his story kinda reminds me of him, both were students of a martial arts class and were the best student in their class, then turned evil. except garo was always kinda evil cuz of his childhood

  9. “And now, he has a chance to make things right. To train the real dragon warrior. And he’s stuck with you, a big fat panda who treats it like a joke.”
    “DoiING!”
    “OH THATS IT!”
    “Wait that’s my fault!”

  10. Despite the fact Tai Lung was chained up and strapped down for years he was able to maintain his skills at a high level enough to beat the the five masters by using techniques that even they were not aware of or ready to learn. Imagine how much better of a fighter would he of been if he was able to train during those years in prison.

  11. 1:13 I love how Mantis justs starts backing away😂

2:52 And how Monkey and Crane are peaking in🤣
It's little details like these that make it such good movie❤

  12. The speed at which he Mantis put all those needles there and he manages to tweak a FACIAL nerve but miraculously doesn’t damage other nerves as well?

  13. I wonder what would happen if Tailung was the one who was left at Mr Ping's noodle shop and Po was the one left at Shifu's door…

  14. 1:03 lol crane is funny 😂
Also 2:34 omg you guys tigress looks so fricken cute
    Also also 3:06 best….reaction……ever
