Kung Fu Panda (2008) – Tai Lung’s Revenge Scene (8/10) | Movieclips

I rotted in jail for 20 years because of your weak . . . Obeying your master is not weakness! You knew I was the Dragon Warrior. You always knew. But when Oogway said otherwise . . . What did you do? What did you do?! Nothing! You were not meant to be the Dragon Warrior! That was not my fault! Not your fault?! Who filled my head with dreams?! Who drove me to train until my bones crack?! Who denied me my destiny?! It was never my decision to make! It is now. Give me the scroll! I would rather die! What I ever did, I did to make you proud! Tell me how proud you are Shifu?! Tell me! Tell me! I . . . I have always been proud of you. From the first . . . moment . . . I’ve been . . . Proud of you. And it was my pride . . . That blinded me. I loved you too much to see what you’re becoming. But I . . . Was turning you into . . . I’m s- I’m sorry. I don’t want your apology. I want my scroll! What?! Where is it?!

  1. Shifu's mistake was making Tai Lung think that it's his destiny to have the Dragon Scroll. He wasn't careful to prepare him for the fact that it may not be his destiny.
Can't Shifu too much since he like everyone thought you had to read it to gain the power of the Dragon warrior, when it turns out that there is no secret ingredient.

  2. Tai Lung has such an incredibility which the furious five havent possesed, he has such power and greatness that soon darkness has taken over his body. That's why oogway picked Po not because of power and greatness but because of his Light on his heart, Po is always happy and smiling even when in most toughest time battling with Tai Lung. While Tai Lung, Filled his mind with Hatred and Anger.

  3. Why Is Everyone Keep Being Merciful To Tai Lung Oogway Already Saw Darkness In His Heart Thats Why He wasnt chosen

  4. 2:21 And that is how you extinguish the fire in your hand, not the way you put your hand in your mouth, Po

  5. Tai Lung is one of the most relatable villains in the history of cinema (He trained hard all of his life to be the Dragon Warrior and make Shifu proud, but his dream was dropped at the last moment)
That kind of event shows why the villain is better than the hero !

    Note : 1000th comment !

  6. It would have really really sold how badly Tai Lung felt betrayed by Shifu if he had slipped up and called him 'Father' when he was going on about making him proud.

  7. All I ever did
I did to make you proud
Tell me how proud you are Sheefu
    Tell me

Always hit right at home, spend you're whole being told you're not good enough, nothing you do is good enough, and never will be. It sucks

  8. I kinda blame shifu cuz he at least tried to convince oogoway (sorry if i said the name wrong) to make tai lung the dragon worrior he maybe would have stayed good

  9. Oogwa: You are the greatest Warrior, but we do not grant you the Title Dragon Warrior

Tai Lung: This is outrageous, this is unfair, how can I be the Greatest Warrior but not be the Dragon Warrior

    Oogwa: Stand down young Warrior

  10. I am still convinced that this is one of the best movie scenes ever. Like, not just animated movie scenes or just fight scenes. Scenes, period.

  11. I feel sad for tigress tho. I mean shifu's like a father to her but shifu never really treated her like a daughter. He only cared about Tai Lung

  12. He could have been a badass leader of the five.I hope they make a film named "The return of tailung" since he's at the spirit realm

  13. Let's be honest after watching kungfu panda 3 I think oogway can easily beat Tailung if he is still alive until Tailung's arrive 😂😂😂😂

  14. 2:05 So let me get this straight. This dude went super saiyan then kamahamehaad this fool to a new dimension. Goku, you have met your match

  15. You know….the green light that sorta flashes when Shifu broke the rock when they were fighting on the steps made me think this was maybe the first usage of chi on screen (as in the 3rd shows he always knew about it.

But it's green and not yellow/gold….maybe because of how deep in negative emotions he was feeling, unlike all the other times we see Chi being used with positive emotions?

Kai's chi was green and he was VERY in his negative emotions as well…food for thought.

  16. Tai Lung and Shifu is like Odin and Loki and also Dave the Octopus and The Four Penguins Of Madagascar …

  17. "Not your fault?,who trained me until my bones cracked?" Shifu was tough on Tai Lung and i guess i get his anger. He trained his whole life to be told no ans when he went crazy they put him in jail for 20 years

  18. Animation companies need to learn from kung fu panda, the film got a lot of good laughs from start to finish but it balances with great character development and deep/dark though provoking moments.

  19. Wow, this is a very similar Under the Red Hood storyline if you really think about it. Tai Lung returns to the man who raised him as a father and trained him to fight evil, only to have vengeance consume him and take out his anger on the only true family he ever had. The apology scene was the scene that really made me feel the connection between the two.
