  1. This is something no one (including my sensei !) told me , tiĺl now ! (Obviously!)
Thanks Alot for sharing sensei 🙏👍💪❤❤❤

  2. I study european fencing and the same things are in fencing as you mentioned: riposte=parry counter, single time tempo=attack at the same time, and to use a term of medieval german longsword fencing "taking the iniciative"= being the first to attack! Good video jesse

  3. I only use "Sen" technique everytime I do kumite in any distance, now I change my perspective and realise why is so hard to me to win kumite……thankyou for making this video Jesse sensei.👏

  4. Wish you released this video yesterday considering that I lost on kumite in a tournament. My opponent outmatched me and I sadly got desperate instead of applying this, not my best fight, but well that's life.
Great video as always, love how much fun your brother and you seem to have

  5. Sensei Jesse,

Would the "sen" be the same as "tai no sen"? Here in Brazil it is more usual to see "sen no sen", "go no sen" and "tai no sen".

    , thanks

  6. Jesse, I’m trying to learn kobudo online at home, starting with bo. Do you have any advice whatsoever, I’m just beginning

  7. Thanks Jesse for share your wisdom!
I'm a 7° Kyu Goju Ryu karateka, and when I am a sensei, I'll teach things concepts to my students.

    arigato gosaimashita! Osu!

  8. Wow this is Hangeki in Uke No Go Gensoku principle we learned in Shitoryu😍👍 thank you for sharing Jesse San☺👍

  10. Hey Sensai Jess. My Sensai explained to us the 3 types of attacks but this time I won’t forget it as watching on video I remember much easier. Also DDD was great tip. Thanks again. Keep up fantastic information. You karate fan from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 . 🙌🏻

  11. As usual Jesse, a great video full of great information. We have all done these these things or similar, but you really explained them well and gave a great demonstration with your mom. Thank you for sharing.

  12. At 9:04 Oliver slightly nodding his head like "DAMM SON…"

Jesse-san, any chance we can get a video video of you guys moving around freely in a brotherly jyu kumite session? Would love to see that.

Also nice to see them both in the video!

    Cheers

  13. Hello Jesse San, i was wondering if you would be able to make a video on tips for starting a martial arts school/dojo. i hope to the future to be able to invest in my own dojo but do not really have much of an idea on where to start, i am also unable to find any good videos about it on you tube. thanks again oss!

  14. Great job! You've helped me, through your explanation. to understand the concept of Sen. I've reflected about it based on the writings of Musashi in the classical Go Rin no Sho but, due to your job I finally could really "see" what is the issue beneath that principle. Thank you very much.

  15. Hey Jessie could the two of you sparing in karate way?
    You know something like OSU
    I guess?
You both seen the OSU video right? Could you two Oliver sparing in that way?

  16. About to get to my orange belt in shito ryu karate tomorrow!! Wish me luck. Oh yeah! Thanks for making this! Its gonna help when I start kumite!

  17. Yes karate is very effective martial art if trained right. The problem is the great number of McDojos around. I have seen karate fighters lose to boxer and MT guys, but I have seen karate guys that are extremely effective fighters and could fight well against an MT guy.

  18. Great video, I always like every single videos of yours. I'm kinda a big fan of you. Hopefully, someday you can come and give seminar in indonesia

  19. great kumite lesson Jesse.Im kyokushin karateka but find your tutorials useful as they Carter arts universally.OSU!

  20. Thank you Sensei, ive always wondered when the best time to strike would be.. ive either been completely stand off or totally attacking, half the time id end up on my back.. now i know when to strike and how to strike using my own style of Karate!… that really helps a lot!!.. ive not been able to get to the dojo for the past week or so due to my car being off the road but watching your videos has really helped me!… thank you!!!

  21. I always found watching my opponents breathing important. Few people attack whilst breathing in, noticing the rhythm of their breath only gives you a split second but often that's more than enough! What do you think Sensei Jesse?

  22. EXCELLENT. IF I WERE YOUNGER I WOULD LOVE TO VISIT AND TRAIN WITH YOU.
MOST IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW IS "GET OUT OF THE WAY". KNOW WHICH TECHNIQUE
SCORES THE MOST POINTS IN SPARRING???? REVERSE PUNCH. SIMPLE AND IT WORKS.

  23. Well that is such a very small piece of the puzzle . Combining that with the understanding of body types and their body mechanics and stances and how much area they cover with self awreness of your own body how you move and how fast are your actions and your reactions . Then you are begining to solve the puzzle
